A Funky Chevron...

Skirt: Gap | Cardigan: Gap | Shoes: ALDO | Bag: Bueno by Target | Necklace: F21| Earrings: Urban Outfitters
A little funky chevron? I know you've seen the horizontal zig-zag stripe all over everywhere here lately...it's trending hot and heavy. I'm confessing to you now that I snatched up this skirt a year or so ago before this was "in". Call me a trendsetter. KIDDING. But I've enjoyed the shorter, cooler skirt for this summer's heat and found this lightweight colorful cardigan at Gap just the other day while hitting up some of the end of summer season sales at the mall. This is the best time to shop the current season's sales because stores are already getting ready for fall merchandise. Go shop!

I wore this out to Michael Jackson's Immortal World Tour concert last week on a very spur-of-the-moment night out with my brother and a couple of his friends. We are crazy like this but had a super fun time! Michael Jackson music, Cirque du Soleil, and a MJ hologram that kinda creeped me out. What style is keeping you cool this summer?

Accessorize...

Shirt: Urban Outfitters | Shorts: Lucky Brand | Shoes: ALDO | Clutch: H&M | Scarf: Urban Outfitters |  Sunnies: Ray Ban
So good news! Everything I am wearing in this post can currently be purchased in stores right now. I know...it's amazing I don't have on something old, but the links to each store are found above. Enjoy your nice online shopping experience! It can be a dangerous experience for me.

Today is all about the accessories. You notice how I kept the same core outfit but created two totally different vibes all with a scarf and purse. You have the trendy neon look going on with the scarf and clutch and a more classy neutral with the belt and Louis. Which look to you like better? Don't be afraid of accessories and better yet revamp some of your same outfits with a new accessory twist this week.

Shout out to my best friend Meredith for this super hip H&M clutch for my birthday today! She always does a fabulous job with my birthday gifts. Check out her blog at Create That Outfit...I promise you she won't disappoint:)

Happy Monday again friends! I'll share some of my new birthday gifts with you this week...

A Tradition Like One Other...

Shirt: Gap | Shorts: Marshalls (Similar jcrew) | Belt: TJ Maxx | Hat: The Masters (I only paid $20:) | Shoes: Nike | Earrings: Chanel

This past April I had such a special privilege to attend the only sporting event tradition that is like none other...The Masters in Augusta, GA. My weekend consisted of something like this: watching every superstar golf celebrity walk by so close I could touch, listening to roars of fans cheering for their favorite player all over the course, eating loads of "The Masters" pimiento cheese sandwiches and only paying $1.50, enjoying free parking, all surrounded by the most pristine, lush, and green 365 acres you could ever imagine...oh and forever cementing the memory of Bubba Watson walking down the 18th fairway! Of course the only place in this world you can purchase the Masters golf attire is at the Masters. So I snagged this hat and had my first chance to wear it during my afternoon golf outing with my dad and brother. And you know I'd never pass up a chance to blog about sports style. My motto: If you can't play the sport, at least look like you do. So I hope I did a good enough job faking you all out today with my crazy good or more like amazing golf skills. But you better believe I enjoyed every minute of it today! Sports + Style = Why not? What do you enjoy wearing to some of your favorite sporting events?

If you ever have the opportunity, please check The Masters off your bucket list....as they say "it's a tradition like none other"!

Orange + Navy

Dress: NY & Company (old) | Blazer: Gap (similar) | Purse: Coach | Shoes: Aldo | Necklace: F21 (similar); American Eagle (old) | Watch: DKNY (TJ Maxx) | Sunnies: RayBan

Orange & Navy have been a trending color combo this summer! It reminds me more of a classic color block by pairing two opposite colors but keeping the navy neutral instead of a bright blue. Throw on some camel, leather accessories and you have your look which can easily carry from day to night or to the dentist as I so enjoyed today!

Today's look came from a bit of inspiration that I wanted to share with you today:

Hot Pink Shades.

Shirt: Gap (old) | Skirt: Gap (another similar) | Shoes: Franco Sarto (TJ Maxx this week) | Sunnies: Target | Earrings: Chanel | Necklace: F21 (similar) | Black Bracelet: NY & Company
My outfit to work Friday consisted of hair in a ponytail. Nobody and I mean nobody recognized me. Lesson learned: that I should mix up my hairstyles more often! The pink shades was a Why Not? item I added for the pictures to give something a little crazy to this look. I had originally bought these back 2 years ago before neon colored shades from the 80's were back in style. This year they have come back in full force! But I was in a hair show and I'll let the pictures do the explaining:

Belle Ame Breast Cancer Awareness Hairshow - October 2010

So maybe the shades fit better with this crazy hair, but I wore them anyway just to amuse you!
Happy Monday!
